AG's history~~
I started drawing manga style in 1998, after I got over my obsession of tracing Sailor Moon manga. I started to develop my own characters. In no way shape or form was Ashley my first creation, and in fact, I never thought she'd be taken anywhere. I started drawing a nameless girl with a badass attitude in 2000, and decided she'd only be known as the Altar Girl. I even had a poem written out next to her, something about "...beware the eyes of the Altar Girl". She always looked upset or evil however I drew her. Then, I started drawing two twin angel sisters, and decided to incorporate them in together. They protected Ashley. Then I wanted her to have someone to have a crush on her, or for her to crush on, and Seth was created. He started out as like some dude from Heaven who worked there, and wore suspenders... I just loved his suspenders. <3 Sera and Cherry worked for him, I think that was my original plan. Cherry though was un-named for a long time. So as more characteristic people entered Ashley's unwritten life, she started to get cuter and nicer. And then she had a school uniform, copied off of characters from another story I had "made up" before (aka Sarasota's school uniform). People like Adam and Emi didn't come into my mind until I was actually starting to do the comic on Keenspace, when I realized I needed much more plot. Noah was totally thought up in the middle of everything, when I realized there were only two guys and they were both waaay too nice. Seth's character actually started out as being perverted!!! Can you imagine?!! So now, Ashley was in love with Mr. Popular Adam, so I decided to make Seth come from the past, and he would be in love with Alice, who's whereabouts are unknown! St. Tail, their school, is what connects everyone together.

Oh, and on the topic of "Saint Tail". Well I named the school St. Tail because I thought it would be funny to name a Catholic school after an anime, because it's what I worship :P And Seth is not supposed to be Asuka Jr. I didn't even start reading St. Tail until right around the time I was going to make this comic on Keenspace, and I created Seth and his sexy suspenders back in 2000. Of course, St. Tail was around then probably, but I just didn't know of it yet. Oh well. I think AG is similar to Inuyasha X_X
